How to set up hosting after purchase?
After purchasing a hosting plan, you will receive a welcome email with login details for your hosting panel (cPanel / DirectAdmin). Log in using these credentials, and follow the setup wizard to link your domain and start uploading your website. Our team can guide you step-by-step via WhatsApp if needed.
How to login to cPanel / DirectAdmin?
Use the URL and credentials sent in your welcome email. For cPanel, it’s usually yourdomain.com/cpanel, and for DirectAdmin, it’s yourdomain.com:2222. Enter your username and password to access your control panel.
How to add a new domain or subdomain?
Domain: Go to Add-on Domains in cPanel / Domain Management in DirectAdmin and enter your new domain name.
Subdomain: Go to Subdomains, enter the name (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com), and select the main domain.

How to upload website files?
You can upload files via:
cPanel File Manager – Navigate to public_html, click Upload, and select your website files.
FTP Client (FileZilla / WinSCP) – Use your hosting credentials to connect and upload files directly.

How to manage bandwidth & storage?
Monitor your usage in cPanel / DirectAdmin under Metrics > Bandwidth. Upgrade your plan if you consistently reach limits. Regularly delete old backups or unused files to free up storage.
DNS and Domains
How to register or renew a domain?
Go to HostDam Domains, search for your desired domain, and complete payment. For renewals, check your dashboard > Domains, and click Renew.
How to connect a domain to hosting?
Update nameservers of your domain to point to HostDam hosting servers. Wait 4–24 hours for DNS propagation.
How to change DNS records?
Login to your domain management panel → DNS Settings / Zone Editor. Add or edit records like A, CNAME, MX, TXT as needed.
Website not opening after domain change?
Wait for DNS propagation (up to 24 hours). Clear browser cache or flush local DNS. Contact support if issue persists.
How to transfer a domain?
Unlock your domain, get the EPP/Auth code from the current registrar, and initiate the transfer in HostDam. Ensure WHOIS privacy is disabled before transfer.

Use Softaculous / Installatron in your hosting panel for one-click installation. Choose your domain, enter site details, and click Install. Your WordPress dashboard will be ready to use in minutes.

Common errors can include plugin conflicts, PHP version issues, or broken themes. First, disable plugins and switch to a default theme. If the problem persists, contact us via WhatsApp — we can troubleshoot safely.

How to backup & restore a WordPress website?
Backup via cPanel Backup Wizard or a WordPress plugin like UpdraftPlus

How to create business email IDs?
Log in to cPanel / DirectAdmin → Email Accounts → Create New Email. Enter username and password, and set mailbox quota.
How to configure email on mobile (Android / iPhone)?
Open your email app, select Other / IMAP, enter full email ID and password, incoming/outgoing server details are in your hosting welcome email.
How to set up Outlook / Gmail email?
Outlook: Go to File > Add Account, enter your email credentials, select IMAP/SMTP settings.

How to fix email sending & receiving issues?
Check DNS MX records and ensure email quota is not full. Disable conflicting plugins for WordPress if using email scripts. Contact HostDam support for quick troubleshooting.
How to set up spam & security settings?
Use SpamAssassin in cPanel / DirectAdmin to filter spam. Enable SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for email authentication.

How to view invoices & payments?
Login to your HostDam client area → Billing > Invoices. You can view, download, or pay pending invoices.
How to get renewal reminders?
You will receive automated email reminders 30 and 7 days before your hosting/domain expires.
How to upgrade or downgrade plans?
Login → Services > Upgrade/Downgrade, select your new plan, and pay the prorated difference. We’ll migrate data automatically if needed.
Refund & cancellation policy?
You can request cancellation within 30 days of purchase for eligible hosting plans. Refunds are processed after verification. Domains are non-refundable once registered.
What payment methods are supported?
Credit/Debit cards, UPI, Netbanking, and Wallets (Indian audience preferred).
